PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C.,to issue a direction directing the 1st respondent to provide police Protection to the petitioners.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking for police protection.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioners got married on 30.01.2019 at Melmalayanur Temple. But, they were unable to register the marriage because of the original certificates are with their respective parents. While being so, the parents of the first petitioner objected their marriage and also lodged a complaint as if the first petitioner was kidnapped by the second petitioner and also threatened dire consequences. Therefore, the first respondent police have called the petitioners for an enquiry and detained them with illegal custody. Hence, the petitioners are before this Court by filing this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioners have been called for an enquiry and conducted enquiry. Since, both attained majority and also got married on 30.01.2019, on recording their statements they were let out from the police https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

station. Therefore, the Police Protection as sought for by the petitioners in respect of the first respondent is concerned has become infructuous.

4.Recording the above submission, nothing survives in this Criminal Original Petition and the same is closed.
