This Criminal Revision Case has been filed praying to set aside the charges framed on 03.05.2024 against the first petitioner and the second petitioner in CC.No.567 of 2024 on the file of the IV Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai.

On perusal of records, it is revealed that the second respondent filed complaint against the petitioners and two others before the first respondent police and on investigation, FIR was registered by the first respondent in crime No.3 of 2022 for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 420, 498-A of IPC r/w Sections 3 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. Thereafter, the first respondent filed final report before the learned IV Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai and the same was taken cognizance in CC.No.567 of 2024. 3.
Though the petitioners have filed this criminal revision case praying to set aside the framing of charges against them, it is submitted by the learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the first respondent that trial has already been commenced in the aforesaid case. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain the aforesaid prayer at this stage.
4. Accordingly, this criminal revision case is dismissed. However, the appearance of the petitioners before the trial court in CC.No.567 of 2024 on the
file of the IV Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai, is dispensed with and they shall be represented by a counsel after filing appropriate application. The petitioners shall be present before the trial court at the time of furnishing of copies, framing charges, questioning under Section 313 Cr.P.C., and at the time of passing judgment. Further, the trial court is directed to complete the trial within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
