No.5684 of 2017) Prayer:- Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., praying to i). dispense with the production of the certified copy of the FIR in Crime No. 19/2016 on the file of the respondent police, dated 07.11.2016. ii). to stay all further proceedings in pursuant to the FIR in Crime No. 19/2016 on the file of the respondent police, dated 07.11.2016, pending disposal of the above Criminal Original Petition. iii).to call for the records in Crime No. 19/2016,dated 07.11.2016 on the file of the respondent police and quash the same.

O R D E R

The prayer sought for in the present petition is to quash the Crime No. 19/2016,dated 07.11.2016 on the file of the respondent police.

2. Pending investigation, the defacto complainant as well as the petitioners were referred to Mediation and Conciliation Centre and by report dated 19.06.2017, the matter was settled between them and terms of settlement were entered into by way of Memo of Compromise, dated 19.06.2017. The Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre, High Court, Madras has also forwarded a copy of the report dated 19.06.2017 to this Court.

3. Today, the defacto complainant as well as the petitioners are personally present before this Court.

4. In view of the Memo of Compromise entered into between the parties, wherein the defacto complainant had accepted to drop further actions in FIR Nos. 185 of 2016, dated 09.02.2016 and 19 of 2016, dated 07.11.2016, pending on the file of respondent police.

5. Hence, recording the statements made by the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre as well as the terms entered in the Memo of Compromise, dated 10.06.2017, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. Consequently, the investigation in Crime No. 19 of 2016, dated 07.11.2016, pending on the file of respondent police is quashed.
