This petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.650 of 2016 pending investigation before the first respondent.

2. Heard, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Gopinath, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the first respondent.

3. The petitioner had earlier filed Crl.O.P.no.4999 of 2022 for the very same relief. The said petition was disposed of by an order of this Court dated 08.03.2022 by directing the first respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order.. Since the final report was not filed, the present petition has been filed before this Court.

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on instructions submitted that the final report was filed before the Judicial Magistrate, Arakonam on 26.08.2023 and the same has been taken on file in C.C.No.87 of 2023.
