Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue WRIT OF MANDAMUS, directing the first respondent to change the name of the tax receipt in Assessment No.096/006/00243 of the property in Survey No.97/2B, Junction Road, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District to the name of the petitioner, which illegally stands in the name of the second, third and fourth respondent herein pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2019. O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the Writ Petition praying to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS, directing the first respondent to change the name of the tax receipt in Assessment No.096/006/00243 of the property in Survey No.97/2B, Junction Road, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District to the name of the petitioner, which illegally stands in the name of the second, third and fourth respondents herein pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2019.

2.By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner made his representation to the respondent Municipality to change the name of the petitioner in the Tax receipt Assessment No.096/006/00243 of the property comprised in Survey No.97/2B, Junction Road, Virudhuchalam Taluk, Cuddalore District, which has been illegally stands in the name of the second, third and fourth respondents and so far, no order has been passed. Hence, the present writ petition is filed before this Court.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the Municipality submitted that the said representation of the petitioner's dated 22.01.2019 would be considered after giving opportunities to the parties concerned.

5.In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 22.01.2019, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing opportunities to the parties concerned, 6.Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with the above direction.
