The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to allot free house site patta in petitioner's favour within a stipulated time frame fixed by thisCourt.
2. The petitioner claims that she is a widow, she does not have any property even a dwelling house to reside. Therefore, the petitioner seeks free house site patta in Survey No.307/1A situated at Vellakovil Village, Kangeyam Taluk, Tiruppur District and to that effect she had given a representation to the 3rd respondent on 03.01.2023. In order to consider the same the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

4. Learned Special Government Pleader would submit that, the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 03.01.2023 would be considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for and having regard to the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader , this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order. "That there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 03.01.2023 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
