Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to call the petitioner for the interview stage for selection to the post of Assistant Professor under the Backward Class category in the subject Indian Culture in the vacancies notified by the 3rd Respondent in its notification for Recruitment of Assistant Professors in Tamil Nadu Collegiate Educational Service for the Government Arts and Science Colleges - 2010 and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to appoint the petitioner to the post of Assistant Professor in the subject Indian Culture as the petitioner is the only eligible candidate out of the two candidates shortlisted for the certificate verification process for the selection to the said post by the 3rd respondent, to be appointed in the said post.

On 22.11.2018, when the matter was taken up for hearing, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Hence, this Court directed the Registry to list the case on 06.12.2018, under the caption "for dismissal''. Even today, there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, it is clear that the petitioner is not interested to prosecute the case.

2. Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed for non prosecution. No costs.
