O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in CC.No.2054 of 2017 pending on the file of the learned XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet, Chennai for the offence under Section 498(A), 354 of IPC read with Section 67(A) of IT Act 2000.

2. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to refer the matter before the Mediation for one time.

4. The learned counsel for the respondent submitted that co-accused has filed a petition in Crl.OP.No.6507 of 2018 before this Court to quash the Charge sheet and the same was dismissed by this Court by its order dated 28.07.2021. The respondent has also no objection to refer the matter before the mediation.

5. In view of the submission made by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the trial Court to refer the matter before the Mediation attached to the Family Court for one time. If the Mediation is not succeeded, the trial Court may proceed with the case in accordance with law and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible.

Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
