I.M.Siddartha Ramarajan

Judgment (Judgment of the Court was delivered by C.V.Karthikeyan J.) During the course of hearing, it had been argued that the respondent has now remarried. To verify this fact, we sought an affidavit from the respondent. Accordingly, the respondent has filed an affidavit, in which she has stated as follows :

"2. I humbly submit that after the order dated : 21-12-2020 passed by the learned Judge of Family Court, Villupuram, in both HMOP.No.66 of 2017 and HMOP.No.81 of 2018, I have remarried another person on 31-03-2021 and we both are living peacefully for the post 5 years to till date."

2. The affidavit is recorded.

3. In view of this particular subsequent development, we hold that it will be only a futile exercise to proceed with the appeals further. Therefore, these Civil Miscellaneous Appeals stand dismissed, without entering into the discussion on merits. No costs. Consequently, the connected C.M.P.No.4918 of 2021 is closed.
