O R D E R

This petition is filed seeking a direction to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner to participate and to cast her vote in "No confident Motion" of Tiruttani Panchayath union to be held on 09.02.2023 based on her representation dated 03.02.2023.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner received a communication in Na.Ka.No.4481/2022/A1 from the RDO, Tiruttani to participate in voting on the " No Confident Motion" moved against the Chairperson of the Tiruttani Panchayat Union Viz., Tmt.Thangadanam.

3. The meeting is scheduled at 11.00 a.m. on 09.02.2023. The petitioner's apprehension is that she may be prevented from participating the meeting and voting and some harm would be caused to her. In the said circumstances, this petition is filed.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that the respondents are prepared to take suitable steps as per the directions of this Court.

5. Considered the rival submissions and perused the records. It is not in dispute that voting on the " No Confident Motion" brought against the Chairperson Tmt.Thangadanam is scheduled at 11.00 a.m. on 09.02.2023.

The petitioner has genuinely raised her apprehension that she may be prevented from participating in the meeting and exercise the voting right.

6. In the said circumstances, this Court directs the respondents to provide adequate and necessary police protection for facilitating the petitioner to participate in the meeting and exercise her voting rights on the basis of the representation dated 03.02.2023.
