ORDER
The writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 27.11.2020 in regard to promotion on par with juniors on the basis of the government order in G.O.(2Pa).No.7, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (Pa.a-4) Department, dated 30.01.2012 and G.O.(1 Pa).No. 447, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (Pa.a -4) Department, dated 19.08.2015 passed by the first respondent within a time limit that may be specified by this court.
2. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. According to the petitioner, he has submitted a representation on 27.11.2020 in regard to promotion on par with juniors on the basis of the government order in G.O.(2Pa).No.7, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (Pa.a.-4) Department, dated 30.01.2012 and G.O.(1 Pa).No. 447, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (Pa.a -4) Department, dated 19.08.2015 passed by the first respondent. But so far, no orders have been passed by the respondent. Hence, he has filed the present writ petition before this court.
4. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents on instructions submitted that the aforesaid application is pending with the first respondent.
5. Considering the limited scope of prayer made in the writ petition and considering the submissions made by the counsel for the parties concerned, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.11.2020 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders as expeditiously as possible within the period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
