Crl.M.P.No.1843 of 2020 in H.C.P.No.44 of 2020 R.SUBBIAH, J and R.PONGIAPPAN, J [Order of the Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J] This Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking extension of ordinary leave granted to the life convict viz., Udayakumar S/o.Munusamy, Convict No.6996, confined at Central Prison, Salem, from 01.02.2020 to 14.02.2020 on the ground that the wife of the life convict is suffering from health issues and there is no one to take care of her and hence, she needs the assistance of her husband.

2. The report of the Probation Officer supports the case of the petitioner/wife of the life convict.

3. Considering the factual scenario, this Court extends leave granted to the life convict for a further period of 2 weeks i.e. from 15.02.2020 to 29.02.2020. The life convict shall be taken back to prison on 29.02.2020 at 05.00 p.m.

4. It is made clear that no further extension of leave will be granted.
