ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 17.06.2020 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 22(c), 23, 28 and 29(1) of the NDPS Act, in C.C.No.6 of 2021 on the file of I Additional Special Court under NDPS Act seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner booked ecstasy pill 400 numbers made of MDMA, which is a drug. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that, the petitioner is in jail for more than a year, and the earlier bail application filed by the petitioner was dismissed on the ground that, the trial is in progress. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. Since there is no change of circumstance, this Court is not inclined to grant bail. However, learned Special Public Prosecutor appearing for Customs has filed schedule seeking for a further time period of one year to complete the trial. and circumstances of the case, this Court issues direction to the trial court to complete the trial within a period of seven months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
