ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate grounds in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board in a suitable post by considering the petitioner's representation dated 29.09.2023.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner's father was working under the respondent as Foreman and died in harness, on 14.03.2023. The petitioner got married to one Palanal and gave birth to two children. Thereafter, his first wife eloped with other person and as such, he got married to the petitioner's mother. Thereafter, he gave birth to the petitioner and one daughter. The
petitioner, being the son of the deceased, sought for employment on compassionate ground.
4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner failed to submit any application in a proper form. The petitioner also failed to submit No Objection Certificate from other family members. That apart, the petitioner's brother viz., son who born through first wife, is employed and as such, their family is not in indigency condition and they are not entitled for compassionate appointment.
5. However, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh application with all requirements seeking compassionate appointment and the same may be considered by the second respondent on merits and in accordance with law.
6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
