Crl.O.P.No. 3685 of 2020 T.V.THAMILSELVI, J.

This Court, by an order dated 14.06.2022 directed the learned District Judge, Special Court for POCSO Act, Cuddalore District to conduct joint trial along with Spl.C.C.No.109 of 2019 on this file and dispose the same within a period of six months. Since the said case could not be disposed of within the time stipulated by this court, the court below by letter dated 08.12.2023 sought for condoning the delay caused in complying the direction of this Court. Hence, the matter is listed before this court today.

2. Today, when the matter taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for petitioner would submit that already the trial was completed and the Special Court disposed the cases in Sp.S.C.No.109 of 2019. Hence, the prayer for extension of time became infructuous.

3. In view of submissions made by learned counsel for petitioner stating that the Special Court already disposed the case in Spl.S.C.No.109 of 2019, no further order is required in this Criminal Original Petition. Accordingly, the delay in complying the direction of this court is condoned. 08.01.2024 rpp https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
