O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to deal with the petitioner's representation dated 20.11.2024 wherein the petitioner has sought for removal of the name of Gangappa Naidu from Patta No.1286.

2. Heard Mr.A.Lakshmi Narasimhan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.M.R.Gokulkrishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2.

3. The only grievance expressed by the petitioner is that his grandfather Gangappa Naidu is dead and gone and in spite of the same, his name continued to be reflected in the patta. Hence, representation was made for removing the name of Gangappa Naidu. Since the same was not acted upon, the 2/4

present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondents 3 and 4 are siblings of the said Gangappa Naidu and it is only, on their instigation, the name of Gangappa Naidu finds place in the patta. Therefore, they have been added as respondents 3 and 4 in this writ petition.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court and the nature of grievance expressed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 20.11.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and necessary orders shall be passed within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondents 3 and 4 shall be put on notice before final orders are passed.
