This writ petition was filed challenging the disqualification slip issued by the 2nd respondent dt.06.02.2023 and for a consequential direction to the respondent to conduct fresh physical measurement test to the petitioner. 2.The short issue that arises for consideration in the present writ petition is as to whether the petitioner has satisfied the height requirement of 159 cm., as prescribed in the notification.

3.The petitioner came before this Court challenging the disqualification slip issued by the respondents on the ground that her height has been wrongly noted as 158.1 cm., instead of 159 cm. According to the petitioner, she has already verified and checked her hight and she is sure that her hight is 159 cm.

4.When the matter came up for admission on 08.02.2023, this Court informed the learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the respondent as to whether the petitioner can be given one more chance to measure her hight and to see if the claim made by the petitioner is correct. The learned Additional Advocate General submitted that the entire selection is now being video graphed and he requested this Court to watch the video and if in case, this Court is not satisfied with the manner in which the measurement is taken, the respondents can be directed to once again physically measure the height of the petitioner. 5.Accordingly, this Court adjourned the case and posted the matter for hearing today. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Page No.3 of 6

Additional Advocate General produced the entire video pertaining to the physical measurement that was done to the petitioner. The video was played in the open Court and it was also witnessed both by the petitioner as well as her counsel.

6.On carefully watching the video, it is seen that the height of the petitioner was verified in a proper manner and the height was recorded digitally. This Court did not find any attempt made by the Officers, who were conducting the measurement test, putting any pressure on the petitioner or measuring the height of the petitioner in a hasty manner. In fact, after the completion of the process, the petitioner was made to see the electronic recording of her height and the petitioner also reconfirmed that her height has been recorded as 158.1 cm.

7.In the light of the above, this Court is satisfied that the height of the petitioner was properly measured and there is no need for yet another measurement verification of the petitioner.
