ORDER

The petitioner, alleging non-compliance of the order passed in WP.No.514/2017 dated 09.01.2017, came forward to file the present contempt petition.

The learned counsel for the respondent has invited the attention of this Court to the communication of the respondent dated 21.11.2013 in No.SRII/DPI/CAO/TLC/F7138/2013 and would submit that the compensation has

already been paid and a request submitted by the Tamil Nadu Farmers Association through the Assistant Director, Agriculture, Kelamangalam, has also been given disposal vide communication dated 18.09.2014.

Though the learned counsel for the petitioner vehemently contend that relevant yardsticks for awarding compensation have not been followed, in the considered opinion of this Court, the same cannot be considered as this Court accordingly directed the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation without going into the merit of the claim projected by the petitioner.

Therefore, the contempt petition is closed. If the petitioner is so advised and if it is open to him under law, he is at liberty to challenge the communication of the respondent dated 21.11.2013 along with enclosures, in accordance with law before the competent Forum.
