Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant 6 days emergency leave by considering the representation dated 04.01.2024 of petitioner's brother-in-law namely Dhanapal S/o Kumarasamy aged about 46 years, Convict Prisoner, Central Prison, Puzhal.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was delivered by M.S.RAMESH, J.) On medical grounds that the life convict's father is seriously ill, emergency leave for 6 days is sought for in the present Writ Petition.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that on 09.02.2024, the life convict has been granted emergency leave for a period of six days for which, he requires to execute sureties.

3. Since the prayer sought for in the present Writ Petition has already been granted by the respondent, no further order is required to be passed. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs. [M.S.R., J] [S.M., J] 12.02.2024 Index: Yes/No Sni
