Pursuant to the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.21768 of 2024, dated 25.11.2024, the respondents herein passed an order rejecting the request of the petitioner seeking Renunciation of Indian Citizenship on the ground that there was adverse remarks of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

2. When the contempt petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Senior Panel Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the rejection order was served on the petitioner. The e-mail sent to the petitioner giving reasons for rejection was also filed by way of additional typed-set of papers, dated 04.04.2025. Therefore, it is for the petitioner to challenge the rejection order, if he is so advised.
