This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to pass appropriate orders for change over the address of the petitioner's license premises from No.141/A, Palakkarai, Salem Main Road, Virudhachalam, Cuddalore District to Door No.6B and 6C situated in S.No.262/2, Palakkarai, Salem Main Road, Virudhachalam, Cuddalore District.

2. It is stated that the petitioner was issued with explosives license by the 1st respondent for dealing with crackers in License No.102/2011-2012 in premises situated at Door No.141/A, Palakkarai, Salem Main Road, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Virudhachalam, Cuddalore District. It is further stated that the petitioner made a request for change of address to locate the said shop at Door No.6B and 6C situated at S.No.262/2 Palakkarai, Salem Main Road, Virudhachalam, Cuddalore District.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said request has not been considered so far.

4. A counter affidavit is filed by the 2nd respondent, wherein it is stated that the said request of the petitioner was already rejected by passing an order dated 08.11.2017 in Na.Ka.A5/2940/2016.

5. When such being the factual position, I do not think that the present writ petition, that too, for seeking Mandamus, survives anymore. Therefore, it is for the petitioner to work out his remedy, as against the rejection order passed on 08.11.2017. Granting such liberty, this Writ Petition is disposed of, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner. The 2nd respondent shall furnish copy of the said proceedings to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
