O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta pass book containing the correct address, pursuant to the representation made by the petitioners on 09.12.2019.

2.The case of the petitioners is that the 1st petitioner is having a permanent residence at Chetpet Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District. The patta was also granted for the property. However it contained the address at Chennai based on the Aadhaar Card and Pan Card that was submitted by the petitioners. The petitioners want the patta pass book to reflect the correct address and therefore, a representation was made to the respondents on 09.12.2019. Since the same did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to immediately act upon the representation made by the petitioners on 09.12.2019 and carry out the necessary corrections in the patta pass book, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 1st respondent along with a copy of this order.

5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No Costs.
