Mr.B.S.Sundaramoorthi, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the 1st and 2nd respondents. By consent of both sides, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.12.2018 for grant of allotment of an apartment in the Ayyapakkam/ Attipattu Housing Complex constructed by the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board for the purposes of accommodating the petitioner and his family who have ousted from their residence at Kakkanji Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, ICF Colony, Chennai - 600 038.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not
been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.12.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as the interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
