Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ or order of direction or any other Writ in the nature Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records relating to the notice Na.Ka.No.A5/1981/2010 dated 7.6.2011 of the 3rd respondent herein, and quash the same and forbear the respondents herein from, in any manner, demanding or collecting the Entertainment Tax in respect of Tamil films with Tamil titles that have been screened in the petitioner's theater, which have been certified as entitled for exemption from payment of Entertainment Tax by the Empowered Committee constituted for the said purpose.
