Respondent(s) Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.06.2024 to correct the guideline value in agricultural land within a stipulated period that may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 19.06.2024, wherein the petitioner seeks for fixation of guideline value with respect to the subject property.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the subject property in S.No.64 had a total extent of 40.75 cents. Out of this, 4 cents was dealt with as house sites. The balance is retained by the petitioner.

3. The issue involved in the present writ petition with respect to the fixation of guideline value was dealt with in detail by this Court in Mrs.Anita Thomas Vs. The Inspector General of Registration reported in 2024 5 CTC 76. This Court had given directions as to how the guideline value has to be fixed by the committee.

4. In the light of materials placed before this Court and considering the submissions made on either side, there shall be a direction 4/6

to the second respondent to place the representation made by the petitioner on 19.06.2024 before the valuation committee and the valuation committee in exercise of its power conferred under the Tamil Nadu Stamp (Constitution of Valuation Committee for Estimation, Publication and Revision of Market Value Guidelines of Properties) Rules, 2010 shall take a decision within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. There shall be no order as to costs.
