Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue an order of writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein to refer the matter to the civil Court to determine just Compensation for the lands acquired from the petitioner as Section 8 Tamilnadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997 within a stipulated period.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent herein to refer the matter to the civil Court to determine just Compensation for the lands acquired from the petitioner as Section 8 Tamilnadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997 within a stipulated period. 2.The learned Government Advocate submitted that the representation of the petitioner for enhanced compensation can be considered as a prayer for reference under Section 8 of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997 and the matter will be referred to within a period of 4 weeks after the conclusion of the General Elections on 06.04.2021, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

excluding the time that may be lost to the Referral Authority in connection with any responsibility associated with the counting of electoral votes which is scheduled to take place on 02.05.2021.

3.The said statement of the learned Government Advocate is recorded. The Referral Authority is further informed that this undertaking must be obeyed by him in letter and spirit to avoid summoning of the respondents for seeking explanation for any default on his/her part.

4.The Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Referral Authority to conclude the matter within a period of four weeks after the conclusion of the General Elections on 06.04.2021, excluding the time that may be lost to him in connection with election related responsibilities.
