The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 12.12.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 384 & 506(i) of IPC, in Crime No.372 of 2022 on file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution as per the de-facto complainant is that the accused have trespassed into her house and by locking the front door, threatened the inmates and demanded a ransom of Rs.1,00,000/-. The further allegation is that they have taken away their mobile phones and a sum of Rs.11,500/- from them. Hence the case.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner has nothing to do with the alleged offence and he is suffering incarceration from 12.12.2022. He also submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner along with other accused trespassed into her house and by locking the front door, threatened the inmates and taken away their mobile phones and a sum of Rs.11,500/- from them. He further submitted that the mobile phones and the amount were recovered from the accused. He also stated that two previous cases including one NDPS case is pending as against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent and perused the entire materials available on record.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) and also considering the gravity and nature of the offence, this Court finds that this case needs detailed investigation. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
7. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 15.02.2023 ham
