Respondents PRAYER This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the writ petitioner management/1st respondent herein to pay the petitioner last drawn wages from the date of award to till date and to pay 17B wages every month till the disposal of the above writ petition.

ORDER

The Writ petition is filed challenging the order in A.P.No.189 of 2022 dated 29.07.2022, whereby, approval was refused in respect of the punishment imposed against the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this petition for grant of wages under Section 17-B of the Industrial Disputes Act. In the affidavit, the petitioner had also mentioned that he is not otherwise gainfully employed and that, his last drawn wages was Rs.24,798/-. The writ petition was filed in the month of June 2025.

2. In view thereof, this Miscellaneous petition is allowed on the following terms:

The petitioner will be entitled for the last drawn wages from the month of July 2025 until the disposal of the writ petition. The arrears of last drawn wages shall be paid to the petitioner on or before 15.03.2026. Thereafter, the last drawn wages shall be paid for every succeeding calendar month on or before 15th day of the said month.
