Prayer:- The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to set right the anomaly prevailing in the procedure for promotion of Higher Secondary School Headmasters under the School Education Department of Tamil Nadu based on the representation dated 18.09.2021 made by the petitioner. According to the petitioner, the Higher Secondary School Headmaster who is possessing higher qualification is treated on par with High School headmaster and the High School Headmaster who do not even have experience in handling the Higher Secondary Schools are becoming an inspecting officer of highly qualified https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
higher secondary school Headmaster. Therefore, the petitioner seeks direction to the respondents to set right the anomaly prevailing in the procedure for promotion of Higher Secondary School Headmaster under the School Education department of Tamilnadu, based on the representation dated 18.9.2021 made by the petitioner.
2. According to the petitioner, the writ petition filed by the Association seeking direction to the respondent is not maintainable. If any individual submitted representation, same shall be considered by the authorities concerned and therefore, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed.
3. Accepting the stand taken by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, the writ petition filed by the Association is not maintainable. However, any such representation received from individuals, the first respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders.
4. Consequently, the writ petition stands disposed of with the above directions. No Costs.
