ORDER
Challenge in this intra-Court appeal is to the order dated 19.11.2014 in WP No.27203 of 2014 whereby and whereunder, the writ petitioner has been granted police protection on production of a copy of that order and on payment of necessary charges. It is well settled principle that a citizen of this Country is entitled to protect his or her life or property in accordance with law. In that event, if a complaint is made to the police, it is for the police to examine the facts and provide requisite protection, if it is found necessary.
2. In the case on hand, police protection has been provided on payment of necessary charges. We make it clear that grant of police protection does not give any right in favour of other party insofar as the dispute with regard to the ownership or possession of the property in question is concerned. This writ appeal stands accordingly disposed of. Consequently, M.P. No. 1 of 2014 is closed. No costs.
