(Order of the Court was made by K.K. SASIDHARAN,J.) This petition is filed to condone the delay of 679 days in filing the intracourt appeal challenging the order dated 25 September, 2014 in W.P. No. 26456 of 2014.

The affidavit in support of the miscellaneous petition is sworn to by the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Chennai. 3.

The deponent in paragraph No. 13 of the affidavit in support of the miscellaneous petition submitted that the copy of the order in the writ petition was placed before the Head of the Department for further action. It was considered by the petitioners and thereafter, legal opinion was sought. In the said process, there was a delay of 679 days.

The affidavit is bereft of particulars. There is nothing on record to show as to when the file was placed before the Head of the Department. Similarly, there is no indication with regard to the time taken for obtaining legal opinion. The petitioners have simply stated that there is a delay of 679 days in preferring the appeal without giving any valid reasons. http://www.judis.nic.in

The order in question was passed wayback on 25 September, 2014. The petitioners ought to have given at least minimum reasons for condoning the delay. In the absence of such reasons, it would not be possible to condone the delay.

In the upshot, we dismiss the miscellaneous petition. 7.
