Respondent PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent police to register a case based on the complaint dated 19.08.2015 for the offences-dowry harassment, refusing to return the dowry, domestic violence, criminal breach of trust, cheating etc., and do investigation in a proper and thorough manner, and take severe action against the culprits, complete the investigation and file final report within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court and punish them in accordance with law.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the respondent-Police to register a case, on the complaint dated 19.08.2016, given by the petitioner and to investigate and file a final report.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3. On a complaint dated 19.08.2015, given by the petitioner, petition enquiry in CSR/110/W-31/AWPS/15 is being conducted by the respondent Police. It appears that the opposite party had approached this Court in Crl.OP.No.21702 of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
2015 for Anticipatory Bail and the matter was referred to the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre, where the opposite party appears to have returned the jewellery and other household articles, but has not paid Rs.3,25,000/-, on account of which, the Mediation proceedings had failed. Thereafter, Crl.OP.No.21702 of 2015 has been dismissed for non-prosecution on 18.11.2015.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that petition enquiry in CSR.No.110 of 2015 is pending.
5. The respondent-Police is directed to proceed with the enquiry in CSR.No.110 of 2015, in accordance with law. If the same is closed, it shall be intimated to the petitioner, so that he can work out his remedy in the manner known to law. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
