ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to pass order for speedy trial in F.C.O.P.No.1624 of 2018 pending on the file of the learned IV Additional Family Judge, Chennai, and to complete the trial within a stipulated time.

2. According to the petitioner, he has filed F.C.O.P.No.1624 of 2018 before the learned IV Additional Principal Family Judge, Chennai, praying to divorce by dissolving the marriage between the petitioner/husband and the respondent/wife held on 23.02.2017. Subsequently, the learned Judge referred to this matter before the Tamil Nadu Mediation and Conciliation Centre for counselling and reunion and the same was failed. However, the F.C.O.P is of the year 2018 and the aforesaid Original Petition is pending for the past three years before the Court below without any progress, thereby stalling the proceedings before the Court below.

3. According to the petitioner, counter affidavit filed by the respondent on 15.10.2019 and also the petitioner filed rejoinder on 28.11.2019, and now the case is posted for enquiry. At this stage, the petitioner has filed revision petition before this Court for seeking speedy trial.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial in F.C.O.P.No.1624 of 2018 pending on the file of the learned IV Additional Family https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Judge, Chennai and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
