ORDER

(Made by SUNDER MOHAN, J.) The husband of the detenue has filed this petition stating that his wife was missing from 02.12.2025; that a complaint was lodged in Cr.No.564 of 2025 on 05.12.2025; and that till date, no steps have been taken by the respondents to locate the detenue.

2. The 2nd respondent has filed a status report giving the details of the efforts taken by them and also stating that the detenue is mentally challenged.

3. We are of the prima facie view that the detenue is not in illegal detention for us to intervene in this habeas corpus petition. However, considering the fact that the detenue is missing from 02.12.2025, the respondents shall take effective steps to trace the missing person and conclude the investigation in Cr.No.564 of 2025 as expeditiously as possible. The Habeas Corpus Petition is closed with the above directions. No costs.
