ORDER

The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 74 of BNS Act, 2023 in Crime No.not known of 2026 on the file of the

respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The allegation against the petitioner is that he is running a fruits and vegetable shop, and the victim in this case was working there as a sales executive. The petitioner allegedly started moving closely with her, stalking her, collecting her phone number, calling her at odd hours, and touching her inappropriately. Though she rejected his behaviour and advised him to stop such activities, he continued and subsequently started touching her inappropriately at various places. Unable to tolerate the same, she informed other staff members and thereafter lodged a complaint. Hence, the case has been registered. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and that the victim has misappropriated a sum of Rs.12 lakhs, which was recorded through CCTV footages.

When questioned, she allegedly lodged a false complaint. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to co-operate with the investigation. Hence, he prayed for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.

5.Considering the nature of allegations and the case of continuous harassment of the victim, who was working as a sales executive in the petitioner's shop, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner, as there is a liklihood of his indulging in similar offences. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 05-02-2026 GBI To 1.The State Rep.by, The Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Udumalpet, Tiruppur District.
