ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 16.12.2025, based on the assignment order dated 18.10.2005 issued in favour of the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner claims that he is in possession of the subject property for long number of years. He now seeks for issuance of patta in his name for the said property. He had given a representation to the respondents on 16.12.2025 seeking for issuance of patta. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.D.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation. Page No.2 of 4

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation, dated 16.12.2025 seeking for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, after giving due consideration to the assignment order, dated 18.10.2005 granted in favour of the petitioner and after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other third party, whom the 2nd respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
