Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, forbearing the respondents 6 and 7 and their men, their agents or their contractors or their subordinates from closing the one side of the drainage situated at Anna Street, Adhiyamankottai Village, Nallampalli, Taluk, Dharmapuri District and to remove the closure which has been already done by the 6th respondent at Anna Street, Adhiyamakottai Village, Nallampalli Taluk, For the Petitioner : Mr.A.Ilayaperumal For the Respondents : Mr.T.K.Saravanan Government Advocate for R1 to R5
ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.A.Ilayaperumal, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 5.
2. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that respondents 6 and 7 are closing one side of the drainage in Anna Street, Adhiyamakottai Village, Nallampalli Taluk, Dharmapuri District and have already closed the other side.
3. Representation is given by the petitioner to the District Collector. Respondents 1 and/or 2, that is the competent authority, may consider the said representation of the petitioner and take a decision in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two months.
4. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.3587 and 3588 of 2024 are closed.
