The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to restore the electricity service connection in Service No.09-245-232 at the petitioner's premises No.384, 5th Cross Street, Ram Nagar, 600 091.
2. When the matter was listed for hearing on 10.07.2020, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner was not available to make his submissions through Video Conferencing. Hence, the matter was adjourned to 20.07.2020. On 20.07.2020 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
also, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner was not available to make his submissions through Video Conferencing. Hence, the matter was adjourned to today i.e. 28.07.2020. Today also, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner is not available to make his submissions.
3. Mr.P. Gunaraj, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that three electricity connections provided to the petitioner's premises including the subject matter of the Writ Petition viz., Service No.09-245-232 , were closed on 09.02.2018, therefore, the relief sought for in the Writ Petition cannot be granted.
4. Recording the submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, since the service connections provided to the petitioner's premises at Door No.384, 5th Cross street, Ram Nagar, 600 091 were already closed, the prayer sought for in the Writ Petition cannot be granted. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. However, in the event of the petitioner settling all the dues payable to the respondents, it is open to the petitioner to give fresh application seeking for fresh electricity connection. No costs.
