ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] Seeking a direction to produce the detenue, Amala, aged 30 years, who is illegally detained by the 2nd respondent and to set her liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his wife Amala went missing since 26.01.2020 leaving behind the two children with him and that her whereabouts are not known.

3. In this connection, on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.37 of 2020 for woman missing has been registered and the investigation is in progress. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The second respondent is the mother of the detenue and Mr.B.Ganesh Moorthy has entered appearance for her.

5. Today, G.Suresh, Sub-Inspector of Police, B6 Mappedu Police Station, is present.

6. The detenue appeared before this Court on her own through the counsel engaged by her mother and stated that on account of marital discord, she went on her own volition and staying with her friend in the following address:

No. 77/54, Ayya Kovil,Manali, Chennai.

7. The detenue is 30 years old and is not in the illegal custody of any one.

8. In view of the above, this habeas corpus petition stands closed.
