Muniappan (died) 1.Minor Varshini 2.Minor Karmugilan (Minors rep. by their Maternal Grandfather Ramasamy) .. Respondent/respondent/complainants This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. The learned counsel for the petitioner Mr.S.Sriram for Mr.K.Govi Ganesan and the learned counsel for the respondents Mr.R.Boopathy are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The Revision petitioner was convicted for offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act and sentenced to undergo six months Simple Imprisonment and to pay a compensation of Rs.3,00,000/- in default to undergo Simple Imprisonment for three months by the Judicial Magistrate

Court, Sirkazhi in STC.No.5620 of 2014 and on appeal the sentence and conviction have been confirmed by the learned Additional District Court, Mayiladuthurai in C.A.No.71 of 2018. Hence, the revision petitioner has come on revision to set aside the appellate judgement.

2. Both the parties have compromised the matter amicably among themselves. A memo of compromise has also been filed duly signed by both the parties and their respective counsels.

3. In view of the above compromise the offence stands compounded on the terms of compromise and the conviction and sentence passed on the revision petitioner shall stand cancelled. The memo of compromise, dated 09.12.2023 shall form part of the Award. Award is passed accordingly. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed if any.
