The Petitioners/A3 to A5 who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa), 4(1A) & 14A of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act in Crime No.38 of 2024, seek anticipatory bail.

2. It is stated that A1 and A2 had been arrested. They are drivers. They were found in possession of 2640 bottles of brandy and 110 litres of illicit arrack. They had stated that these three petitioners herein are the owners of the contraband, which had been seized.

3. The earlier application seeking anticipatory bail in Crl.O.P.No.1684 of 2024 was dismissed on 01.02.2024 . There is no change in circumstances. The quantity of illicit arrack seized is substantial. Therefore, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the Petitioners herein.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition seeking anticipatory bail stands dismissed.
