The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider his representation dated 30.04.2014 and consequently, allow the petitioner to pay the property tax.

2. Through the said representation, the petitioner claims that his mother is residing in the subject matter property for 40 years supported by some certificate issued by the Government. Therefore, the petitioner requested the 3rd https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent to assess the said property to tax.

3. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view as to whether the said property is assessable to the property tax or not, as it is for the concerned authority, namely, the 3rd respondent to consider and decide the same. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.04.2014 and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
