ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent to conduct inquest on the body of the deceased as mandated under Section 174 Cr.P.C., in respect of Crime No.202 of 2014 dated 23.11.2014 and further investigate the case in the manner known to law, the petitioner is before this Court with this petition.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that the investigation has been completed and the original F.I.R., along with Death Report have been sent to the Tahsildar, Perambur, by the respondent police. 4.Under such circumstances, the Tahsildar, Perambur, is directed to forward the original F.I.R., along with Death Report and other reports to the learned XVI Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai, as early as possible. A copy of the final report shall be served on the petitioner by the respondent police within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Further, the petitioner is given liberty to file protest petition and on such protest petition being filed, the same https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

shall be dealt with as per the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Vinay Tyagi v. Irshad Ali (2013 (5) SCC 762). 5.With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
