Heard Mr.M.Velmurugan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.A.Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2.This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for a direction upon the respondents to consider his representation https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

dated 13.08.2012, and issue patta to his land bearing Survey No.35/3C situated at Eruppaiyur Village, Tittagudi Taluk, Cuddalore District.

3.The petitioner, who is hailing from a downtrodden community, stated to be in possession of the property and the petitioner has filed an application for grant of patta by submitting representation on 13.08.2012. The only document filed by the petitioner is a kist receipt stated to be issued for the period from 1992 to 2004. Unless and until the petitioner produces documents showing how he derived title to the property, no application can be entertained for grant of patta.

4.Hence, at this juncture, the prayer sought for by the petitioner for grant of patta cannot be considered. Thus, while dismissing the writ petition, liberty is granted to the petitioner to file appropriate application along with supportive documents establishing his title to the property as well as linked documents. If the same is done, the application can be considered in accordance with law. No costs.
