This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pass orders on the mercy petition submitted by the petitioner dated 10.12.2018 within a reasonable time and grant such other further relief as this Court may deem fit in the circumstances of the case. O R D E R

The writ petitioner, who is removed from services filed a Mercy petition before the 1st respondent /Director General of Police under Section 15(A) of Tamil Nadu Police Subordinate Rules 1955.

2. The grievances of the writ petitioner is that she is suffering on account of non employment and therefore, she preferred the Mercy petition for grant of appropriate relief and the said petition is kept pending.

3. Under these circumstances, without going into the merits of the matter, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the Mercy petition submitted on 10.12.2018 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose the copy of the Mercy Petition and all relevant documents, if any, along with the orders passed in the present writ petition.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
