CRL.O.P.No.11694 of 2016 S.VAIDYANATHAN, J.

Apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for alleged offences punishable under Sections 417 and 506(ii) IPC in Crime No.9 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police, the petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is alleged to have had love affair with the defacto complainant and on the promise of marrying her had physical relationship with and subsequently, refused to marry her.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any such offence and in order to extract money from the petitioner, the defacto complainant has lodged a false complaint against the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) vehemently opposed for granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner on the ground that very serious allegations have been levelled against the petitioner and that the investigation is pending in this case.

5. The complaint reflects that the petitioner had physical relation with the girl. As serious allegations have been levelled against the petitioner, this court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for by the petitioner and the petition is dismissed.
