..Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to count the petitioner's service for a period from 16.04.1997 to 12.07.2004 rendered as Grade II Police Constable in the services of State of Tamil Nadu as qualifying service, and add the same to the service rendered in the post of Graduate Assistant from 13.07.2004 onwards in the Education Department for the purpose of pensionary benefits under the Old Pension Scheme.

Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that the prayer sought for by the writ petitioner has become infructuous.

2. In view of the above submission, the prayer sought for by the petitioner as become infructuous. Hence, no further adjudication is required in this writ petition.
