(The case has been heard through video conference) The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to grant patta in the petitioner's name for his property comprised in Survey No.114/1, T.S.No.11, Block No.2 at Erukkanchery Village, Chennai - 600118, based on the on-line application uploaded by him on 01.02.2021.
2. According to the petitioner, he purchased the property measuring an extent of 603 sq.ft situated at Survey No.114/1, T.S.No.11, Block No.2 at Erukkanchery Village, Chennai - 600118. After purchasing the property, he was in possession and enjoyment of the property. He applied for grant of patta / mutation of patta in his name for the purpose of getting home loan for construction or otherwise selling over of his property to third party purchasers. In this regard, he applied on-line application for patta on 01.02.2021. Since no https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
orders have been passed, hence he filed the present writ petition.
3. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents will consider the said application of the petitioner and will pass suitable orders on merit.
4. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent Thasildar to consider the on-line application of the petitioner dated 01.02.2021 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
