Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to forbear the First Respondent from issuing the extension of license or for continuing the license in favour of the Third Respondent, Mr. Ilayaraja in respect of TASMAC Shop No. 804 situated at No. 66, General Patters Road, Royapettah, Chennai - 600 002, which was taken behind the back of the Petitioner and without the consent of the Petitioner.

(through video conference) Mr. K.Sathish Kumar, Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the First Respondent states that the relief as sought in this Writ Petition has become infructuous in view of the fact that the period of licence had been lapsed and fresh licence has been issued in favour of third parties for subsequent period. He has filed a memo dated 28.10.2020 to that effect through e-mail, which is placed record.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed No costs.
