ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed praying for direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 05/12/2019, 14/02/2020, 24/11/2021, 07/10/2022, 25/10/2022, and 27/12/2022 and 21/02/2024 to settle the family pension arrears a sum of Rs.1,77,000/- and funeral expenses worth of Rs.50,000/- totally Rs.2,27,000/- along with 11 percent interest per annum with effect from 2019 to the petitioner within the time stipulated as prescribed by this Court.
2. The petitioner's mother worked as Teacher under Education Department and she retired from service on 31.01.1991. Thereafter, she passed away on 09.09.2019. The petitioner being the nominee of his deceased mother, is entitled for funeral expenses and death claim benefits and family pension arrears. Therefore, the petitioner made representations to the respondents. However, no action has been taken. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 05/12/2019, 14/02/2020, 24/11/2021, 07/10/2022, 25/10/2022, and 27/12/2022 and 21/02/2024, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

In view of the limited request sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representations dated 05/12/2019, 14/02/2020, 24/11/2021, 07/10/2022, 25/10/2022, and 27/12/2022 and 21/02/2024, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.
